Independent, strong willed, adventurous, ambitious, a born leader, brave, friendly, loving and at times silly and sarcastic. These are just some of the adjectives those who know me would use to describe me.
My passion for service began in my early high school years watching my uncle and female cousins serve as police officers and detectives within the Newark Police Department.
At the young age of 21, I joined the Newark Police Academy and served as a police officer there for 3.5 years. After 9/11, I transferred to the Port Authority Police Department where I served for 20.5 years eventually rising to the ranks of Patrol Sergeant and Detective Sergeant. After retiring in January of 2023, the opportunity to work for Hackensack Police Department as a SLEO III presented itself and I felt, being a mom to a five-year-old rambunctious boy myself, this exciting opportunity was right up my alley. I love kids and look forward to working with, protecting and hopefully influencing the lives of the children at Hackensack Middle School.
Some of my hobbies include spending quality time with my son, family and closest friends. Traveling, cooking, gym, reading and just recently began gardening
